In August 2025, I returned to the NETZ-Werk community kitchen in Neukirchen, following my Maker Residency earlier in June. This time, I joined the “48h Kochmarathon”, a weekend-long culinary event that was part of Chemnitz 2025 – European Capital of Culture.
For the opening, I hosted a Temaki Sushi Workshop, where participants could casually hand-roll their own sushi with rice, nori, and their choice of ingredients. Alongside classic Japanese fillings, I also introduced local German ones such as sauerkraut, creating a playful fusion between the two food cultures.
