Ever since I was a child, I have loved origami. My mother even enrolled me as a member of the Japan Origami Association. That passion has stayed with me into adulthood, and I often incorporate folded paper and other simple materials into my designs. Here is a selection of some of my favorite origami-inspired works created over the years.

I designed this Beer Flower, a small tray that attaches to the top of a beer bottle, to solve the problem of having both hands occupied at standing parties—one holding a plate and the other holding a beer bottle.

I got to know Schultüte as my child grow up. It is a paper or fabric corn filled with stationaries and sweets for kids entering elementary school. I designed a paper version and hosting workshops time by time.

I designed this Origami Christmas Star with LED light to host a workshop at Maker Advent's Opening event. Detail: https://akikot.webflow.io/photos/origami-star-workshop
